Just a Simple Wish

This is Christmas night
A night full of joy, love and happiness
I
I am
Watching the sky in darkness
I'm not a Christ, can i wish a gift too from Santa?
Can Santa hear my wish?
I don't wish a big gift
Only
A simple gift, meet with someone...
Even love is wasting time,
Even write this, is more exhausted,
I try share anything,
I walk here and there,
Look you that far apart
Separated by time, space around us...
I will never stop wishing...

Who is the Creator of Lighted Christmas Tree?

Who was the first to create a Christmas tree decorated with beautiful lights? He is Edward Hibberd Johnson, co-Thomas Alva Edison who had worked at the Edison Electric Light Company.

Johnson created a Christmas tree is exactly 128 years ago, on December 22, 1882. He makes it by wrapping the 80 light bulbs in red, white, and blue that have been strung together with wire on pine trees.

The result of Johnson's creation was first displayed at his home in the area of Fifth Avenue, New York, United States. Newspapers Detroit Post and Tribune reported the results of these creations. And now Johnson is known as the "Father of lighted Christmas Tree"

Johnson was born on January 4, 1846 and died on September 9, 1917. He is the inventor and business associate Thomas Alva Edison, and has been involved in the management of an organization that has evolved into General Electric.

Christmas Tree Growth

Since the findings of Johnson, the use of lighted Christmas trees growing. 1895, U.S. President Grover Cleveland began to use lights to decorate Christmas trees are placed in the White House.

Near the end of the 1800s, General Electric offers a little light bulb that should not bother strung together to be used. I was so busy, people had to rent a wireman for merangkainya.

1900, large stores in the United States began to display a Christmas tree decorated with lights to attract consumers. Among high-end began carrying a party of high-cost Christmas tree. Christmas trees are worth approximately U.S. $ 2,000 or about 19 million rupiah.

Well, in 1903, The American Eveready Co. issued a series of editions of Christmas lights that are ready to be installed. Each light bulb has been fitted the screws and his Christmas tree also has a direct outlet can plug electricity.

From Candles to Electric

Before the findings of Edward Johnson, people actually have to use candles to light the Christmas tree. Wax is attached to the tip of the tree with a pin or wax. Its use is highly prone to fire.

The existence of the tragedy of fire due to the use of candles on Christmas trees in 1917 to make a 15-year-old teenager named Albert Saddaca moved. He told his parents, better use of lights for Christmas decorations.

After using it, Saddaca family started a business selling a series of Christmas lights. Not so smooth initially because only sold 100 units a year. However, after the family had to modify it with a light color, the sales increased.

The community began to bloom using lighted Christmas trees. If previously the new society lit Christmas tree the day before for fear of fire, now people have started to turn it in early December.

Now, the Christmas tree became increasingly grandiose. Entering the month of December, every mall race featuring the best Christmas decorations, including Christmas trees are sometimes huge.

Here It is, The Smallest Christmas Card in the World!

Speciality in Nanotechnology at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, make new breakthroughs. They created a Christmas card which is claimed as the world's smallest Christmas card, which as many as 8276 cards can be affixed to a stamp-sized paper.
The manufacturing process is very fast and instant. In addition, can also be done repeatedly.
- David Cumming

Professor David Cumming and Dr. Qin Chen a Christmas card from superkecil glass crystal material which has a carved image topped Christmas tree. Scientists said the production of Christmas cards that only takes 30 minutes.

"Manufacturing process is very fast and instant. In addition, can also be done repeatedly. What takes longer is the process of designing a Christmas tree picture," said Cumming.

Christmas card has a size of the smallest width of 200 micrometers and 290 micrometers thick. The size is approximately one tenth of a human hair thick. A total of 500,000 Christmas cards that smallest be arranged on A5 paper.

Colorful Christmas card this superkecil made by a process called plasmon resonance, which uses a patterned aluminum film production of James Watt Nanofabrication Centre.

However, despite a mini Christmas card this is just a demonstration, the technology it uses so real. Through this Christmas card-making, scientists want to communicate just how influential nanotechnology today.

"Our Nanotechnology is one of the best in the world. However, sometimes it's hard to explain to the public. We then decided to make this Christmas card just shows how accurate this technology," said Cumming.

Space-style Christmas

Gas bubbles SNR B0509-67.5 in images taken Hubble Space Telescope

Recently,
scientists found gas bubbles in space that allegedly formed from supernova explosion four centuries ago. The gas bubble is red, much like decoration that hung on the Christmas tree.

Based on reports the Daily Mail, the image of the bubble is captured by the Hubble Space Telescope. Known, the supernova explosion that produced a bubble that occurred in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a small galaxy is 160,000 light years from Earth.

Gas bubbles are named SNR B0509-67.5 or simply SNR 0509. Bubble diameter of 23 light years and continues to expand by 11 million kilometers per hour. The image is actually a bubble of gas has been arrested several times.

The exterior of the gas bubbles have a ripple or wave. The researchers estimate, it is caused by the ambient interstellar gas density even though they are not so sure.

By the age of 400 years until today, the supernova that formed gas bubbles is expected to be viewed by residents of southern hemisphere in 1600. However, not known of the new stars that formed at that time.

Type of supernova that resulted in the formation of gas bubbles is Type 1a. The explosion occurred due to rob a white dwarf star material that was conceived by its partner, take it so much that eventually exploded.
